Pei polyetherimide is a strong rigid plastic that withstands high temperatures and offers excellent electrical insulation over a wide range of temperatures. Purchase a sheet of 0 03 0 04 0 75mm 1mm thick pei thinner can be used but it is more difficult to apply exactly flat to your surface. Pei polymer is extruded by ensinger in sheet and rod shapes using sabic s ultem resin. Laminate your sheet of pei using 3m 468mp 1 adhesive transfer tape to a glass mirror print bed keeping in mind that 3m 468mp is a very tacky tape that is prone to clumping.

In filled grades the addition of glass fiber reinforcement coupled with ensinger s proprietary extrusion techniques provides users with a polyetherimide offering that has both greater tensile strength and rigidity while also improving dimensional stability. Pei is easily cut to size by scoring with a hobby knife. Been printing on it since its great to be fair though the bare mirror also prints quite well but it needs more cleaning i used windex to clean it and then wipe with ipa to get the windex residue off. The material has excellent dimensional stability due in part to its good creep resistance and low moisture absorption.
